Shawna L. Lippert, MBA
Shawna Lippert serves as the program director of the EPIIC Venture Attractor initiative at UCCS. Shawna’s professional history includes over 19 years of experience with for-profit and non-profit organizations, higher education, and startup ventures. Shawna’s expertise includes program management, operations, logistics, event management, and building community connections.
Shawna started her professional experience in 2000 when she joined a six-month-old startup business in New Mexico. For over eight years she managed the office operations and was instrumental in contributing to business growth. In 2009, Shawna relocated to Colorado Springs, CO and joined the Colorado Springs Small Business Development Center (SBDC), now known as the Pikes Peak SBDC. She served as Assistant to the Director and later as Interim Director. Her experience included small business consulting and education coordination. Additionally, Shawna managed center operations and programs.
In 2011, she accepted roles at UCCS in the College of Business and with EPIIC. Through the College of Business, Shawna was a co-founder and director of the Office of Professional & Executive Development. Through this entrepreneurial university initiative, she launched both custom and public professional programs. Notable programs include the UCCS Mini-MBA and UCCS Leadership Development Program.
With EPIIC, she was a project and program manager. Programs created include Ignite Colorado Springs, UCCS “Shark Tank”, and the UCCS Sports/Outdoors Business Plan Competition.
Additionally, Shawna is an adjunct business instructor at UCCS in the Bachelor of Innovation™ and College of Business.
Shawna obtained her Bachelor of Business Administration in Management from New Mexico Highlands University in 2006, and Master of Business Administration in Innovation Management at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs in 2015.
